Elephant Nature Park is a non-profit that helps elephants in Thailand. Visitors can learn about elephants in a natural setting, without riding them or watching them do tricks. You can see elephants grazing, playing, and behaving like they would in the wild.
The park rescues elephants from abuse and hard work. Each elephant has a history you can learn about. The owner, Lek, has won many awards for her efforts. The elephants roam freely but receive care because of their past mistreatment.
The park also has a program called ‘Jumbo Express’ that provides emergency medical care to elephants in remote areas and educates local communities about elephant welfare. Your visit helps support this work.
During your visit, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and taken to a local fruit market to get supplies for the elephants. You’ll spend the day meeting the elephants and learning about them from park specialists.
If you want to stay longer, the park offers simple overnight accommodations.
