We will pick you up at the Xa Xia border checkpoint. Welcome to Vietnam! Everything is set for an adventurous cycling trip. The drive from Ha Tien to your overnight stop in Chau Doc is quite long. Our transfer van will take you on the border belt road N2 to Giang Thanh village. Here, we’ll gather our bikes and cycle through paths, tracks, and fields to Tri Ton (25-40 km). We’ll pause for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Tra Su Reserve. Enjoy a boat trip to explore the picturesque mangroves and observe rare migratory birds. Returning to our bikes, we’ll cover the last few kilometers (25 km) along country lanes, witnessing local life near Chau Doc border town. If time allows, we’ll take a motorbike taxi to the challenging peak of Sam Mountain to catch the stunning sunset with panoramic views over the Delta and into neighboring Cambodia. You’ll spend the night in town.

Up early for a boat cruise through the vibrant riverside market, experiencing its bustling activity and a feast for the senses with a variety of sounds, colors, and scents. We continue the cruise through the floating village, where numerous fish are farmed under hundreds of shelters along the Bassac River. The ideal way to explore the Long Xuyen quadrilateral region, renowned as the rice basket of the Mekong Delta, is by bike rather than minibus. Today, we begin with an easy bike ride (25-40 km), making stops for photos and breaks along the way. Lunch will be in Long Xuyen city, where our guide will introduce you to more local foods before a short rest on the journey to Can Tho city in our van. Later in the day, as temperatures cool down, we’ll take another bike ride exploring Thot Not, Nong Truong Song Hau, Thoi Lai, and Phong Dien for about three hours (20-40 km). This journey delves deeper into the beautiful and less-touristed areas of the Mekong Delta. Enjoy the evening with free time for a walk along the city quay.

We begin our day with a morning boat trip to explore the vibrant Cai Rang floating market – one of the last remaining authentic floating markets in Asia. The market is bustling with hundreds of boats navigating the river, offering a unique and lively experience. We then continue to cruise along quiet, winding waterways around Can Tho to the local district of Phong Dien. Following this, our van will take us out of the city’s busy traffic, where we will start another pleasant bike ride under the lush green jungle canopy amidst My Hoa pomelo plantations. Here, you will have the opportunity to taste fresh pomelo picked straight from the trees. We’ll continue cycling to Dong Thanh and Ba Cang (30 km), then stop for lunch at Cay Bang restaurant for barbecued meat with broken rice. Afterward, we’ll rest in the van before heading towards Saigon. Our next destination is Long An, renowned for its large red-fleshed dragon fruit plantations and extensive rice fields. Upon arrival, you will hop back on your bikes for a final ride along small, scenic routes lined with dragon fruit farms and rice paddies (15-22 km). Our guide will demonstrate how farmers tend to their dragon fruit farms, providing insight into their agricultural practices. You will also taste fresh fruit straight from the trees and enjoy a peaceful bike ride under the sunset amidst the rice fields and serenaded by the sounds of frogs. Feeling tired but content after a long day exploring the delta, you can unwind with a cool beer and snacks before returning to Saigon. This marks the end of our tour.

What our clients say about us

16 March 2024 ★★★★★We did a 10 day private tour of Thailand with Amazing Bike Tours (ABT), including a couple of days of biking in Chiang Mai and a day in Phuket. ABT put together a great mix of biking and classic tours at a reasonable price. They responded quickly to emails and were very easy to deal with. The whole trip was fantastic, from the boat trips to James Bond Island to staying overnight in Bangkok and other towns. Our guide, Tom, was not only knowledgeable but also really friendly - he even became our unofficial photographer and shared all his photos with us. I definitely recommend ABT if you're planning a trip to Asia.

5 May 2024 ★★★★★We spent 12 days with Amazing Bike Tours from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh via Battambang. Our tour was perfectly tailored to our route and physical condition and on the last day, we were safely transported to our beach accommodation in Sihanoukville. The organization was flawless from start to finish. The accommodation was also comfortable, allowing us to rest well after eventful days. The tour provided great value for money. The experiences were unique and could fill two vacation reports! The bikes were perfectly adjusted to our needs, with well-maintained gears and brakes. If there was a minor issue, the guide promptly addressed it. The minivan support was modern and very comfortable. The driver was excellent and we felt safe! Besides the visual impressions, we learned a lot about the country and its people.

18 January 2024 ★★★★★We had a custom and private 3-day bike tour in the Mekong Delta with Loc, our expert bike tour guide who organized, coordinated, and led three days of fantastic bike touring. Our tour of the the Mekong Delta included Cai Lay, Cai Be, Can Tho, and My Tho, before catching a luxury Mekong River cruise up to Cambodia. Loc was a great guide who really helped us appreciate the culture of the untouched tourist areas of the delta where we met fantastic people and toured through incredible villages, markets, Khmer temple, and even a local school. Loc did an excellent job of pacing the bike ride to our activity level and we enjoyed some great lunches at some local residences, even picking up some rat at a local market we toured and having it expertly prepared at a local home. Our best, most authentic Vietnamese meals were enjoyed on this biking tour. We had a van w/driver following us throughout the bike rides to ensure we had plenty of water and picked us up when we were ready to be done for the day. Loc also gave us a tour of Saigon as well as the underground Vietnam war tunnels at Cu Chi. I can't say enough about the biking tours and Loc was just a fantastic guide. We hated to say good-bye as we continued our tour of Southeast Asia but will always cherish the bike tour we had with Loc in Vietnam.
